4. Basic Strategy
Expanding Safely
Start with small areas and expand gradually
Minimize time spent outside your territory
Always check opponent position on the minimap
Return quickly if opponent is nearby
Territory Shape
Long, thin territories are hard to defend. Try to maintain a round, compact shape.
Attacking Opponent Territory
Cut their trail when opponents are outside their territory
You can steal territory by crossing through theirs
But going deep into enemy territory is dangerous!
5. Advanced Strategy
Timing Attack
The best time to attack is when opponents are drawing a large territory outside. Cut their trail and they die while you safely expand.
Defensive Play
If you're in the lead, don't take unnecessary risks
Steadily expanding small areas is safer
Return to your territory quickly if attacked
Fake Moves
Pretend to go one direction then suddenly change to confuse opponents. Useful for cutting trails or escaping pursuit.
Using Walls
Pro Tip: Expanding along map edges (walls) naturally protects one side. Claiming corners is even safer.
6. Practical Tips
Tips for Beginners
Don't be greedy - start small
Check the minimap frequently
Return immediately if attacked
Be careful not to step on your own trail
Stay calm and restart even if you die
How to Improve
Practice with AI to develop expansion instincts
Practice predicting opponent movements
Try expanding territories of various sizes
Practice timing of attack and defense
Warning: Trying to claim too large an area at once creates long trails and danger. Safer to expand in moderate chunks.
💡 Key Point: Territory is a "risk management" game. Big territory claims mean big risks. Finding the balance between safety and expansion is the key to victory.
